“I have been using KAS for nearly 3 years now and have found the service reliable and safe. My two children enjoy their time after school and usually come home with news of something new they have done or tried. My daughter chooses to do her homework and this extra reading and writing time is helping her progress. “My daughter has been attending KAS Waiuku for the past 9 months. When I first enquired about the after school care programme KAS had to offer, I was welcomed by a very friendly lady at the facility. She answered all my questions. At the time my daughter had many additional health needs and KAS were very helpful in supporting my daughter with these. I work full time and when I pick my daughter up she has been fed, her homework has been done and she is happy. On the way home she always shares what she did at KAS! They offer a great programme and it is never an issue to get my daughter to go. I recommend KAS to any of my family and friends as it is a very well managed and run. The high level of child care and services that was offered to our daughter Jasmin (aged 8) by the warm and friendly staff during her time as well as the well thought out activities both afterschool and during school holidays provided were the best we have experienced in years. Every staff member went out of their way to say hello and make conversation with us when we would arrive to collect our daughter, and even when we were in a hurry they would rush to help us get her bag, some days she didn’t want to leave due to how much fun she was having with the kids and activities!
The school holiday program was a great variety of activities to suit all age and participation levels – there was always something Jasmin was excited to do.

“The team at KAS Pukekohe Hill are fantastic and should be very proud of the service they offer to families. The environment is positive, the staff are lovely and friendly and the kids are always having so much fun! A working parent has enough stress and worry to deal with. Knowing that my child was safe and having fun while I was at work was a huge relief. The programme during term time is designed to change things up every week so the kids don’t get bored and there is always something to do if a certain activity doesn’t appeal. I really like reading what the theme of each week is and imagine the fun that my child would have. The holiday programmes really step it up a notch so much that I’m jealous I have to work while my son gets to take part in such cool activities! The thought that goes into designing these programmes is impressive as there are so many learning opportunities that are included alongside the fun. I love that the kids can utilise the play equipment at the school and spend time outdoors enjoying the sunshine. The quiet room is also a fantastic facility that enables kids to chill out and relax after a tough day at school or get some homework done to free up their evening at home. I highly recommend KAS to anyone requiring before/after school care and school holiday fun. “We have used the KAS programme for our three daughters over the past 10 years at Pukekohe Hill School. The girls have enjoyed the programme, it is well organised, and staff are approachable and friendly. Also, we have felt confident with their care of Anneliese regarding her peanut allergy.
They offer great options with after-school care and fee schedule. Currently we make the most of Anneliese being a casual attender with my rostered work. Another great service is taking children to after-school activities with written request from the parent/caregiver (and pick-up again as needed).

“Kids After School Pukekohe is an amazing team who are so welcoming to both the children as well as the parents. Being a working mum and needing the support its comforting to know my son is in great hands. My son absolutely loves before and after school care, he enjoys catching up with his friends from his own as well as a variety of different schools but a big plus for me is that KAS staff also help with his homework on my later days of work! I love that KAS gives the children a mixture of activities which keeps them engaged and intrigued, The School Holiday Programme also gives this and more, my son always has so much fun but they are also learning so many new things!, one of my most memorable days was when my son came home and told me “mum did you know before you pat someone’s dog you have to ask the owner first”, KAS had an afternoon of learning about dogs, I was so impressed that something so fun for the children also taught important understandings for the animal, I have always had the biggest fear of dogs around my children so it was awesome to hear him say this.” – Rachel
